My name is Ewelina, I live in Poland and I created this site to share my passion with you :)
This is my first post here so I would like to show you my beginnings in my favourite technique - coloured pencils.
This is the largest colored pencil portrait I created - various colored pencils on 100 x 150 cm sheet of paper. Based on a photo by R. Prakarsa.
I used to draw a lot when I was a kid. You can watch my progress film on YouTube.
In 2008, I started drawing clases in Warsaw (perspective drawing & watercolour).
I am self-taught in coloured pencil technique :)
My journey with this medium started in 2010 when I got my first proffessional coloured pencils set as a Christmas gift. Those were Derwent Artists pencils, a box of 36. I started drawing portraits with them (mainly kids portraits). To be honest, this wasn't my favourite medium, I preferred graphite pencils and watercolours.
Have a look at my first colored pencil portrait (girl with a dog) and other drawings created in 2011 and 2012.
In 2015, I decided to try other pencils so I bought Derwent Coloursoft and Koh-I-Noor Polycolor. These are soft pencils, unlike Derwent Artists. I also changed the surface - instead of using white cheap bristol, I tried Canson Mi Teintes pastel paper. After changing the media and practicing, I started to love the coloured pencil technique :)
Here are some examples of my works from 2015:

New notes soon :)
Have a nice day!
